I hired Ian to help me with my DUI case. He was great. Very responsive and intelligent. I knew that he would make this awful experience bearable. When hiring lawyers, he was the only one who told me it would be alright. He helped me stay calm during this process which was very appreciated. I highly recommend Ian.
If you are seeking legal counsel look no further than Ian Wallach. A true standout, he will be your greatest asset.
I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of meeting Ian at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse during a very difficult and confusing situation. Although he was not involved in my case in any capacity, Ian overheard my questions and concerns while sitting next to me in the cafe. He graciously took the initiative (and out of his brief break) to provide me with the guidance and answers which I was unable to get from the attorney who was involved in my case. I work with attorneys in a professional capacity several times a month; and never have I encountered one whose moral and ethical standards are as impressive as his extensive knowledge, stellar resume and impressive business acumen. Simply put; if you are faced with legal battle, Ian is who you want in your corner.
An absolutely fantastic result!
Genuinely caring and effective, the best attorney when I needed one
When my college going child in west LA faced a drinking in pubic charge 2 months ago, I called a number of soCal attorneys with concern that it might taint my child’s record. I was either left confused or with the choice of a large retaining fee. That’s when I came upon an online advice Mr. Wallach wrote pertaining to this charge years ago and I left a message at his number not knowing whether I’d get a reply. He called me back that same evening and in the first few sentences made me realize that I’d found the right help. After reviewing the citation, he gave me actionable advice on working with the City Attorney and court to resolve the case as an infraction, which my child followed on arraignment day to the desired outcome. He stayed in contact with concise and reassuring guidance through the whole process. Because he guided us towards self-help, which itself says a lot about an attorney, I did not really get to hire him. But if I ever need legal assistance in LA, he will be the first one I turn to. For all you did, Mr. Wallach, I am truly grateful.
Smart, ethical, and aggressive
Outstanding and exceptionally ethical attorney specializing in criminal defense but knowledgeable in every other area as well. Takes his clients’ welfare to heart and fights hard for them. Met him when he did a terrific job representing an indigent client in a criminal trial; I sat on the jury that acquitted. Passionate but not overly emotional, he presents a rock-solid, perfectly organized, and logical case. I contacted him later on a civil matter, he replied that day, and his advice has been invaluable. If I were litigating, I’d call him in a heartbeat.
I Highly Recommend Ian. Honest from the start.
Ian represented me on a controlled substance charge and made me feel at ease from the very first call. He was knowledgable on all of the options within the system and fought for me to the best of his ability. I am beyond satisfied with the result and highly recommend him to anyone that isn’t sure what to do in a similar situation.
AWESOME JOB, IAN!
I would HIGHLY recommend Ian Wallach! This man fought 100% for my family. It is rare to find true dedication these days, and I can assure you, Ian Wallach is dedicated to his clients. He is a fighter and will not leave you unsatisfied. If you hire him once you’ll hire him again.
Innovative Defense for Shoplifting Charge
When charged with shoplifting an item of $300 value in Los Angeles, I was worried about possible outcomes, considering my professional background and future goals. I knew that I required the best possible legal defense that I could find; by great fortune and excellent reference, I received recommendation for Ian Wallach as a criminal defense attorney on the westside of Los Angeles. From the beginning, Mr. Wallach helped me to understand the charge I was facing, outlined the possible approaches and outcomes, and realistically presented the facts of the case and the plausible prosecutorial actions. Throughout the pre-arraignment period of the case, he stayed in close contact with me while he negotiated a deal with the district attorney, helped me to engage in restorative actions, and gather the proper supporting materials to further reinforce my defense. Weeks before the arraignment, Mr. Wallach had successfully secured a favorable deal with the prosecution, ensuring no criminal record at the conclusion of an informal sentencing, minimal fines ($200), and a swift arraignment that concluded my case within minutes of the court’s time. With Mr. Wallach’s indispensable legal defense, the judge decided on an informal, and essentially ‘off-the-record’, sentencing that requires me to complete 10 days of community service (non-labor) and continue my regular therapy (which is of no burden to me considering my attendance preceding this case). I cannot thank Mr. Wallach enough for his diligent, resourceful, and courteous work on my case.
Review for Attorney Ian Wallach
Atty Wallach was more than I ever expected from any attorney. He was professional, knowledgeable, open to suggestions, very accessible at any time day or night as well as through email. He left no page unturned, he was like I had known him for years, he acted like I was a million dollar client, I was saddened to have our case concluded, because we began to see him as a long time family friend. God Bless him and his Family.
Advice on 5150 Hold
Ian advised me on a 5150 hold matter. My wife had reacted badly to a new medication and had been kept for 72 hours. By the end of the 72 hours she was back to normal, but the facility psychiatrist seemed as if she was planning to extend the hold. Ian explained the process, advised best practices and searched for colleagues able to spring into action. All this without being retained, which he advised against until the psychiatrist made her decision. He said, “I may be bad at marketing, but this is the right thing to do.” He further advised that the public defenders are very good and do their jobs well. Ian generously offered his time and expertise — several hours — for free and said the public defender was the better way to go in most cases. He said he loves what he does and that his main concern was that the right outcome is achieved.
